Leon Anthony Sutton III spent the majority of his youth playing at local playgrounds and recreational centers on the south side of Las Vegas. Growing up undersized, Sutton had to overcome his disadvantages by dedication and handwork. He ended his senior year being a third-string bench warmer, on arguably the worst high school basketball teams in the city. With those humbling beginnings, Sutton began to develop his game the next few years at the colleges of Eastern Utah, Montana State Billings, and Great Falls. After his college career, he decided to begin his professional career playing for Lins and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Once he finished his international stint, Sutton became a walk-on for the Idaho Stampede in the NBA Developmental League.
I am feeling more and more blessed everyday. Getting back to myself [and] I am truly excited to see where I end up playing next...If you want change, you got to make change.
